Visitas! Visits!

Una de las cosas buenas de volver a Europa es que por fin casi todo el mundo puede venir a visitarnos!! Chicago estaba un poco lejos y los billetes son mas caros :( Por suerte ahora y desde que nos mudamos a Estrasburgo, hemos podido compartir dias maravillosos con nuestros amigos y familia. Aun quedan mas, pero este verano hemos tenido la suerte de estar con ellos :) 

En este, mi  pequeno diario, quiero guardar este bonito recuerdo de ellos!

One of the great things about coming back to Europe is that finally almost everyone can come and visit!! Chicago was a bit too far and the tickets were expensive :( Luckily here and since we moved to Strasbourg last March, we were able of seeing our family and friends here in our house!! And this is only the beginning, yes! From my little diary, I want to share these memories with them!

Nuestros amigos holandeses Freek y Ester nos visitaron en uno de los puentes que hemos tenido. Junto con ellos vino su pequeno garbancito que nacera en octubre.

Our Dutch friends Freek and Ester visited during one of the long holiday weekends we had. Together with them their little chickpea who will be born in October.

Here with Patricia and Arthur. Patricia, Igor and Arthur visited us just two weeks ago. This baby is a real cutie. Patricia worked with us in Holland and in Chicago and it is always very nice to see her and her family.

Aqui esta Thomas con Arthur y Patricia. Ellos dos junto con Igor, el papa de Arthur nos visitaron hace dos semanas. El bebe es una monada. Patricia es una investigadora muy importante que ha trabajado con nosotros en Holanda y en Chicago. Siempre es un placer verla a ella y a su familia.

Una de mis visitas mas esperadas, mi hermano y Elena :) Ademas, coincidieron con nuestros amigos Ed y Elna de Holanda. Aqui estamos en nuestro restaurante favorito, Chez Yvonne.

Despedida de solteros!! Bachelor party!

Durante los dias de vacaciones que pasamos en Ciudad Real, celebramos la despedida de solteros de mi amiga Almudena y su futuro marido, Dani :)

Ella nos habia citado ese dia para darnos las invitaciones de boda, pero le teniamos preparada una sorpresita, jeje! Todo gracias a la colaboracion del grupo de amigos y a la hermana de la novia, Pilar, quien ofrecio la casa y organizo una gran parte de la celebracion.

Preparamos una cena en la que cada uno llevo un plato distinto mas todo lo que Pilar compro, hubo varios regalos, fotos, futbol, tarjetas, la cancion de Macarena adaptada a Almudena :), tarta con su foto, bebidas, coreografias y risas, muchas risas. La noche acabo pegando unas voces en el karaoke mas conocido de la ciudad. 

During our holidays in Ciudad Real we celebrated Almudena and Dani's bachelor party :) She cited us to give us the wedding invitation but apart from that, a surprise was prepared for them, hehe! Everything thanks to the entire group collaboration and Pilar, Almudena's sister, who offered her house and organized a big part of the event.

We made a pot luck dinner with presents, pictures, card, cake, adaptation of Macarena to Almudean, dancing, soccer (Eurocup), drinks and many laughs. The night ended singing at the most known karaoke of the city :)

Ya ha nacido Fabio!

Hoy es un dia muy feliz! una de mis primeras amigas, desde la niñez, de toda la vida, de las mejores personas del mundo, de las mas dulces, ha dado a luz a un precioso niño, Fabio.
Hemos vivido con mucha alegria su embarazo porque ha sido la primera de todas en tener un niño y la verdad es que todos estamos muy contentos.
La parte triste es estar aqui, no poder visitarla, abrazarla a ella y a Oscar, su marido, ver al niño y compartir este momento con ella. Espero ver fotos pronto y poder hablar con ellos.
De momento, quiero mandarles mi felicitacion por todos los medios, que sean muy felices y que todos podamos compartir su alegria.

Today is a very happy day! one of my first and best friends, since we were really small, one of the best persons of the world, one of the sweetest, has given birth to her beautiful son, Fabio.
We have all lived her pregnancy with a lot of emotion because she is the first one of our group of friends being pregnant, delivering, etc, so we are all very happy.
The sad part is being here today, I cannot visit here, hug her and Oscar, her husband, see the baby and share this moment with them. I hope I can see pictures soon and talk to them.
For the moment, I'd like to send them all my positive and greatest wishes. I hope they are very happy always and that we can also share all the happy moments with them.
